Authentication issue for some users https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/1023136 Thu, 20 Aug 2026 10:00:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/1023136#620e7cf556941b92db03176c1c76706797a51f6423e35c69c0eaa876d1eb50aa A backend limit prevented new authentications on the North America cluster, and resulted in server 500's. The root cause was identified and remediated immediately. Tesla Fleet API errors affecting energy sites https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/1008568 Tue, 11 Aug 2026 20:43:56 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/1008568#5a821283a7b3361dad0e128b0af3ddec1f3984154e2fa1655396a2a1e635c727 Tesla's Fleet API recovered at 15:40 UTC and has remained stable since. All energy site commands and data are operating normally. Total impact window was approximately 20 minutes; vehicle data, commands, and streaming were unaffected throughout. Tesla Fleet API errors affecting energy sites https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/1008568 Tue, 11 Aug 2026 15:48:48 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/1008568#305ea1895311f1d49bd6693b7a765395d5382ee4232e81a850a62a35a8163587 Tesla's Fleet API is currently returning errors for energy site requests in all regions. Energy commands (backup reserve, charging and tariff settings) may fail, and energy data may be delayed or served from cache. Vehicle data, commands, and streaming are unaffected. This is an upstream Tesla issue — Teslemetry systems are healthy and service will recover automatically as Tesla recovers. We are monitoring and will update this incident. Fleet Telemetry configuration is unreliable https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481 Fri, 31 Jul 2026 05:21:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481#0b0bfb65c021bfda55328283a7d56525fa5fc44078de0c3e58ebdea1b7cbbd20 Tesla confirmed that this issue was caused by a change they made, which specifically triggered on unsigned configurations with no expiration. The original root cause should now be fixed, however Teslemetry is going to stay on the signed configuration moving forward. Fleet Telemetry configuration is unreliable https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481 Mon, 27 Jul 2026 01:35:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481#b44453529297efd4554ff779707118c5ce1bc7841b672484d7869695041e008f A workaround has been implemented, however we believe the original issue is still present and there is a risk it may apply to our workaround. There is no longer any customer impact but we will continue to monitor this situation closely. Fleet Telemetry configuration is unreliable https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481 Sun, 26 Jul 2026 22:52:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481#a6c0b2807aa2037d44ea2df3c61ec8c0f693fc22c18f6f63608a5496aa2622e4 Teslemetry has raised a support request with Tesla regarding this issue, however we have also confirmed that other third parties are not impacted, and telemetry clearly shows this issue has only started in the last 5 days. This typically indicates a direct action by Tesla against the Teslemetry client. We are making service changes to reduce the backoff and retry mechanisms, and may even start proactively blocking requests where a 500 is expected, in an attempt to "reset" our access. Fleet Telemetry configuration is unreliable https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481 Sun, 26 Jul 2026 05:05:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/978481#43bc179bf38eb9f6157c7aa15c9d14356c0e069d71d4f26ad011726ce1beb290 We have observed that changing vehicle configuration is unreliable, and Tesla is inconsistently returning 500 status codes on vehicle configuration changes. Existing vehicle configuration is not impacted, and we suspect this issue will self-resolve in time. Stability issues https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/929102 Sat, 20 Jun 2026 02:00:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/929102#5dd5c4cd18342f79e6b3f2354491bf4b89daca9aa91046ce6dc6b88b4c9f2072 After the previous incident, our Tesla OAuth Refresh service had hung, causing users to gradually lose their Tesla authentication. The service was manually restarted and monitored to ensure service fully restored. We are making changes to ensure this refresh service is more resilient to issues like this in the future. We apologies for the interruption and appreciate everything who reached out to report issues. Stability issues https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/929102 Fri, 19 Jun 2026 18:00:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/929102#697c403dfe440aa3a39918ea6e5e4aa5e036478c1360e6e901aea7c938e24ae0 Multiple users have reported stability issues with the API service that is preventing Home Assistant from starting. We have identified another issue with the Teslemetry backend that may have been causing this failure. Backend issues in NA region https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/928613 Fri, 19 Jun 2026 09:40:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/928613#e703b82d29bdc31036db9307602dd35c4bb39ed5bce263a9a9f15a876d2596d3 The Teslemetry backend suffered an out of memory crash. We are still trying to understand how this happened, but the service has been restored. Backend issues in NA region https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/928613 Fri, 19 Jun 2026 09:32:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/928613#ecbd8b61ca7fe53ddc38ea6795c37ccd9d41aa036cbd2e75901a9eb4997a21aa Investigating Cloudflare Load Balancer Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/893464 Mon, 11 May 2026 20:50:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/893464#a81e3a66e1691b732c234fd8a8a5fb6a7b4ff668a5ebc8f32e038b115b3a759f The Cloudflare load balancer subscription has been restarted and all pools and nodes have been re-enabled. Everything is functioning normally again. Cloudflare Load Balancer Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/893464 Mon, 11 May 2026 17:40:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/893464#a1bf94d1eee9664ae0ca91f5af07959b6a00c9988664620269776de26a2af04c Without notice, Cloudflare disabled Teslemetry's load balancer subscription resulting in the Teslemetry.com website becoming inaccessible. Fallback DNS records allowed the Teslemetry API and Fleet Telemetry collectors to continue operating without global load balancing which may have slowed some requests, but should have remained completely operational. Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Fri, 24 Apr 2026 06:01:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#afb6392a583f280df31e4348f39312b6765f543b675149c21bca636f52103d09 It appears Tesla is no longer blocking our access to the Energy APIs anymore. No communication has been made from Tesla as of yet, however I have made contact through a third party. Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Tue, 14 Apr 2026 07:05:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#b89914de20a0c65af5aa73d2a0c288d8a0b3053e56daabfad135883dd39987e2 The issue with Teslemetry's access to the Tesla Energy APIs is ongoing, and Tesla still has not responded to our support request or emails. We appreciate everyone's patience as we quickly deployed the "Teslemetry for Energy" workaround and subsequent changes to OAuth connections to ensure the workaround is in place. We would like to offer all impacted customers a 5-day subscription extension, which can be claimed at https://teslemetry.com/console/energy-compensation Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Sat, 11 Apr 2026 10:44:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#f76025ee70d368033900992345989ad96df02aefb58143052bdadfaa3b0ee041 Many users have reported the workaround is working as expected, however it may require you to manually reload the Home Assistant integration to recover full functionality. After performing the [energy authentication](https://teslemetry.com/energy_login), go to the [Teslemetry](https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/integration/?domain=teslemetry) integration, and click the three dots to reload. I still have not received any communication from Tesla. Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Sat, 11 Apr 2026 04:59:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#a3ba7f77caf8ab49ec0364c6d1934bbd903d59ac20dce3585206b54e5ec7f279 A workaround for the Energy API issue has been implemented. This involves using a second application registration specifically for the Energy APIs. If you use Energy products with Teslemetry, the next time you login you will be prompted to authorise a second application for only the energy scopes. If you use Home Assistant, this will be achieved through a re-authentication prompt. If required, you can manually trigger this process by visiting https://teslemetry.com/energy_login Tesla still has not responded, and it is my hope that this workaround will be temporary once I am able to sort this out with Tesla. Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Fri, 10 Apr 2026 08:40:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#ee13cd00a28b519656a4287150ddd7e1940d6f7777b592933956f2a23b73d97b There is unfortunately no new update on the Energy API outage at this time. Tesla still has not responded to direct emails, support request, or escalation. I will continue to monitor the situation and if we do not receive a satisfactory response from Tesla tomorrow I will start implementing an alternative solution. I intend to compensate all impacted customers once we understand the full impact of the outage. Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Thu, 09 Apr 2026 22:20:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#8f4104429691cd9fdbcf19ba30c315cfd835b9c888f5d5823a9d1b244a966fdb A change has been deployed to the API server to allow the Home Assistant integration to start without the energy APIs, which should resolve access to Vehicles only. I am still awaiting a response from Tesla. Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Thu, 09 Apr 2026 20:53:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#dd8770ed7063d57537a53bda6d559461bab2decaeff46086e8831b85283f4af0 Tesla has been contacted to investigate this outage. An update is being pushed to the API server to stop returning 403 responses which should resolve the re-authentication issues in Home Assistant and Homey in the meantime. Energy API Outage https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240 Thu, 09 Apr 2026 17:00:00 -0000 https://status.teslemetry.com/incident/868240#699d38832a0cf0ab548bcf96c29b4a20cd05ccc56cc1d3d8310c1b6e3b61284c A large number of customers are reporting an energy API outage with 403 responses.
